Could There Be Any Life In This New Born?

Scientists have discovered the future source for us. This 'rare' planet has the same properties that our planet earth has. It is 1400 light years away from the solar system.

It’s mass is higher than earth but lesser than that of some huge ice giants like uranus and neptune. Its resembles an irregular topography. There, it takes approximately 617 days to complete one year.

Dr. Herrera martin, the paper’s lead author, said, “to have an idea of the rarity of the detection, the time it took to observe the magnification due to the host star was approximately five days, while the planet was detected only during a small five-hour distortion. After confirming this was indeed caused by another ‘body’ different from the star, and not an instrumental error, we proceeded to obtain the characteristics of the star-planet system.”

It was founded between the orbits of earth and venus by a technique called gravitational microlensing, it is a gravitational force on distant objects like  exoplanets that bends it’s light to create brightened as well as multiple images.

This planets are very hard to see as they are hidden in the bright lights of their star. This type of exoplanets are difficult to detect.

So this planets are very much exciting to discover and interesting for study to scientists.

This planet’s host star, wolf 1061 is about 10% the mass of our sun. It is orbited by three planets. It is also known as gj 628.

This discovery revealed by unsw team in the european southern observatory. It was detected by a method called radical velocity.

This discovery was announced on december 17, 2015 following a

10 year study of archival spectra of wolf 1061 by using the harps spectrograph which is attached to a ESO 3.6m telescope.

It is about 4 light years away from our planet earth in the constellation, ophiuchus and wolf 1061 is the fifth closest, potentially habitable exoplanet to earth. 

"The wolf 1061 system is important because it is so close and that gives other opportunities to do follow-up studies to see if it does indeed have life,” Dr. Kane explained.

Dr.Kane with his co-partners were closely looking wolf 1061 for the reason whether life could exist on wolf 1026.

But there is one possibility is that the short period of time to which wolf 1061 orbit changes would be enough to cool down this fire ball.

The scientists are trying their best to find this type of detection in future. But this is more complex than it looks.
